Meet Anita Minor
Anita is a comprehensively trained certified BASI (Body Arts and Science International) Pilates instructor and together with her daughter Lacey, is the founder of Pilates of Fort Worth. She started practicing Pilates in 2007 and immediately fell in love with the results she discovered in her muscle tone, flexibility and overall mind body connection and wellbeing. Anita is also certified through The Pink Ribbon Program as a Post Rehabilitation Breast Cancer Exercise Specialist and hopes to help women gain strength and mobility to those areas most affected by breast cancer surgery, treatment and reconstruction. Prior to becoming a certified Pilates instructor, Anita enjoyed a 25 year career as a banker, with the last 23 years serving as the CFO of a large community bank with 8 locations in Texas. She was recognized as a CFO OF THE YEAR AWARD Honoree by the Fort Worth Business Press in 2013. After leaving the banking industry, she dreamed of opening a boutique Pilates studio with her daughter where clients could experience the incredible benefits of Pilates in a lovely, welcoming and safe space with sessions created specifically for each and every client. Anita is passionate about helping people discover the difference Pilates can make in their body and her goal is for EVERY BODY to have an exceptional experience at Pilates of Fort Worth....where mindful movement matters.
Meet Lacey Penn
Lacey is a comprehensively trained certified BASI (Body Arts and Science International) Pilates instructor and is the co-founder of Pilates of Fort Worth. She has a fun loving, relatable and authentic personality that you will be drawn to the moment you meet her. Her fitness journey began in her early 20’s after struggling with her weight and self confidence throughout the majority of her life. Pilates was the gateway to a healthier, happier lifestyle. The low impact, mind body connection made it the perfect fit for consistency. Her love for the countless benefits Pilates provides led her to become a certified instructor. She wanted to share this gift with others and having the opportunity to help clients progress is a true passion. Her clients know that every session she teaches is thoughtfully prepared and personalized to their body and fitness goals in mind. Lacey is a fitness fanatic in that, along with her daily Pilates practice, she gets additional cardio from a daily spin class and frequent walks with Sophia, her precious Shih Tzu puppy. She also loves to cook and experiment with healthy low carb recipes and she generously shares her delicious creations with family and friends. Be on the lookout for some of her recipes and fitness inspiration in her upcoming blog.
